Quote of the Issue:

The idea of an election is much more interesting to me than the election itself.
The act of voting is in itself the defining moment.
                                                       Jeff Melvoin

---------------------------------------------------------------------
A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
---------------------------------------------------------------------
So tomorrow is Election Day. No, it is not a Presidential election and for that reason most folks will not bother to vote! Yet, I find that sad. Sad because by not voting in each election folks are disregarding a right that our forefathers (and foremothers) fought for. Voting is not only a right but as I teach my students it is a responsibility of every citizen! The way I see it voting is my voice and if I don't cast my vote (voice) then when things happen that I am directly affected by or upset by I have no right to complain if I didn't vote! Voting lets me express to those who wish to lead our nation what I believe is best for the average person, me and others like me!! Now I know folks are discouraged these days with politics and the corruption that seems to follow it. However, imagine if every person got out and voted and I mean every single person!! That would be an incredible message! So tomorrow take a few minutes to cast your vote, which is your voice, and let the folks who want to lead know what you think! To quote the great General Patton, "Lead, follow or get out of the way!"
Until November 15, get out and vote and be sure to thank a vet for fighting to keep that right!!
Karen

"What A Difference A Day Makes", a new book by Connor Fleming III Good Guys, Bad Guys, and Everyone In-Between
Mr. Fleming's second book is a humorous, organized crime, love story. Think "Romeo and Juliet" meet "The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight". This funny, heartwarming, and, at times, harrowing tale of star-crossed lovers, will have you standing up and rooting for Donny and Anna to survive against a myriad of bad guys, dangers, and everything that the netherworld of organized crime can throw at them. With the help of Donny's grandmother, the fearless and vengeful Nonna Francesca (the Godfather of Grandmothers), their chances for love and a happily-ever-after improve dramatically. You will also meet the most incredible array of tough, scary, greedy, and bone-headed gangsters ever to grace the printed page along with an equally colorful assortment of friends, relatives, acquaintances, and other characters who populate their world. This book makes a wonderful summer read. To find out more about this book, please go to Mr. Fleming's website: www.connorfleming.com To order the book directly from the publisher, you can use the following link: https://www.createspace.com/3429508

Book Discussion of Revelation for people who don't usually read the Bible. Wednesdays starting November 10 7:30pm. Do you wonder about what will happen at the end of the world? With movies like Armageddon, Damien, Left Behind, and with world events swirling around us it makes us wonder too. Scott Hoffman and Joe Parrillo will lead us as we unravel together what all these prophecies might mean. Come join us and give us a piece of your mind and we'll give you a cup of joe or tea. (of course) We'll meet on Wednesdays until we figure it all out!! Starts November 10 so sign up now at Barbaric Bean. Call us at 732-775-8500
