A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I recently watched the movie The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock. All I can say is WOW! I was truly touched and blown away by this film. If you haven't seen it you need to. It was a real feel good movie and to think it was based on a true story is just unbelievable. However, what struck me throughout the film was the courage of  both Leanne (Bullock's character) and Michael, the young man with the troubled past that Leanne and her family take in. Courage is something most folks think of in connection with battles, fights or doing something really challenging. Yet it took courage for Leanne to reach out and take in a stranger and it took courage for Michael to admit his troubled past and accept Leanne's help. Yet deep down they both knew it was the right thing to do. What developed was a mutual respect between them over time and they truly became a family. It just amazed me to see how both of the characters were blessed and grew in such a positive way from a single act of reaching out to one fellow human being. Imagine if more folks reached out and helped someone in need. Imagine if the media focused a bit more on the positive things folks did for each other rather than what we see and hear now on the news. I just know that our world would probably be a better place. Think of it as the Pay It Forward idea! (Another great movie, by the way!) So if you get the chance read the book or rent the movie when you get the chance. I don't think you'll be disappointed...
Until August 23rd, reach out where you can and watch the good that comes from it,
Karen

PS ~ Remember we now are on our summer schedule!! That means the Bulletin is published EVERY Monday in June, July and August!! So enjoy and keep informed about what's going on!

"What A Difference A Day Makes", a new book by Connor Fleming III Good Guys, Bad Guys, and Everyone In-Between
Mr. Fleming's second book is a humorous, organized crime, love story. Think "Romeo and Juliet" meet "The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight". This funny, heartwarming, and, at times, harrowing tale of star-crossed lovers, will have you standing up and rooting for Donny and Anna to survive against a myriad of bad guys, dangers, and everything that the netherworld of organized crime can throw at them. With the help of Donny's grandmother, the fearless and vengeful Nonna Francesca (the Godfather of Grandmothers), their chances for love and a happily-ever-after improve dramatically. You will also meet the most incredible array of tough, scary, greedy, and bone-headed gangsters ever to grace the printed page along with an equally colorful assortment of friends, relatives, acquaintances, and other characters who populate their world. This book makes a wonderful summer read. To find out more about this book, please go to Mr. Fleming's website: www.connorfleming.com To order the book directly from the publisher, you can use the following link: https://www.createspace.com/3429508

Potter Pest Control

More than just eating up all your food and being a general nuisance, carpenter ants can cause extensive damage to your home's infrastructure, and for every one you do see, there could be hundreds more hiding in the walls.

Carpenter ants damage wood and insulation by excavating tunnels, and they are capable of causing more harm to your home than even termites. Fortunately, a carpenter ant problem is entirely controllable under professional care.
