Walking is the best possible exercise. Habituate yourself to walk very far.

A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay so you can tell I have a strong desire for spring to get here! On Thursday with the snow coming down in large wet flakes I bundled up and walked a mile into Ocean Grove to meet Rich after his meeting for breakfast. Yes I was motivated by a cup of joe at The Barbaric Bean but I also felt the strong need to get out and about. Anyone else feeling like that lately? Well I have and because of it I have been doing a lot of walking. Somedays I come home from school and feel the need to just get out and walk. I will walk the boardwalk when I need to think. I will walk to the library when I need to feed my mind that is curious and pick up a book or movie. I will walk to the Barbaric Bean when I feel the need to enjoy a cup of joe and good company or music. I guess this winter walking has been my saving grace. Yet I have learned a few things with all this walking. I can slowly and take it all in. I try to notice things that I might otherwise take for granted. After a little walk I always feel better and more revived. I see some of the same folks walking and now greet them as comrades on the walking path. All in all I have learned that while having a car to get to further destinations is needed I simply enjoy the pleasure of being able to walk to places and it has kept me from going completely stir crazy!! Give it a try...
Until March 15th, hang in there and try getting out for a little walk. It might do you some good!
Karen

Unless you've suffered the heartache personally, it's hard to imagine the array of emotions you experience as you hold a sick puppy in your arms at 3:00 am. There are many sick puppies being sold in Monmouth and Ocean counties from both breeders and puppy stores. Should you or someone you know purchase one of these bundles of love and it turns out to be sick, you need to go to a new website dedicated solely to the reporting of sick puppies in Monmouth and Ocean counties. The website is www.ReportSickPuppies.com

Potter Pest Control

More than just eating up all your food and being a general nuisance, carpenter ants can cause extensive damage to your home's infrastructure, and for every one you do see, there could be hundreds more hiding in the walls.

Carpenter ants damage wood and insulation by excavating tunnels, and they are capable of causing more harm to your home than even termites. Fortunately, a carpenter ant problem is entirely controllable under professional care.
