Quote of the Issue:

If winter is slumber and spring is birth, and summer is life, then autumn rounds out to be reflection. It's a time of year when the leaves are down and the harvest is in and the perennials are gone. Mother Earth just closed up the drapes on another year and it's time to reflect on what's come before.

                                                                    Mitchell Burgess, Northern Exposure,

A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
---------------------------------------------------------------------
So Autumn is truly upon us. The days are a bit cooler and the nights are colder. There is dew and frost in the morning air. The colors of the leaves are varied and they have fallen. The days are growing shorter. For some it can be a sad time as we begin to hibernate. Yet as the Quote of the Issue shares it can be a time to reflect. I think especially with Thanksgiving coming up it is a great time to reflect - reflect on what is important to us. Perhaps you are grateful for family and friends who stick by you. Maybe you are grateful for the freedom we have due to the many sacrifices of those who serve our country. Your health might be something you are grateful for. I know that Thanksgiving may not be big to some people but it has always been my favorite holiday. I think because there is no real stress or pressure but rather it is a day to just reflect on what is important to us and to give thanks for the many blessings bestowed on us.
Until December 7th, take time to reflect and truly give thanks for all blessings, great and small...
Karen

Unless you've suffered the heartache personally, it's hard to imagine the array of emotions you experience as you hold a sick puppy in your arms at 3:00 am. There are many sick puppies being sold in Monmouth and Ocean counties from both breeders and puppy stores. Should you or someone you know purchase one of these bundles of love and it turns out to be sick, you need to go to a new website dedicated solely to the reporting of sick puppies in Monmouth and Ocean counties. The website is www.ReportSickPuppies.com
