A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz (Karen@lonekeep.com)
-----------------------------------------------------------
Well, the rain finally stopped and the sun has returned just in time for the Memorial Day
Weekend! Hard to
believe that
the unofficial start of the summer is here already! Before you know it we'll be
celebrating the 4th of July! I
recently had
the pleasure of attending a Shorecats game. What a great game and it was so exciting! I am
hooked! Be sure
to check out
this local basketball team playing right in our backyard. Their site is listed under Local
Links. Also be sure
to check out
some of the many happenings in our area that I have gathered, and please let me know by
email if you went
to any and what
it was like.
I am always curious to learn if readers find this information helpful and fun. Also
just for fun, I will be
manning
the phone on May 30th at the NJN fund drive with the Mrs. New Jersey Pageant as I am a
contestant, Mrs.
Bradley Beach! We should
be on at the 7:30 to 11:30 time slot! So if you happen to be watching look for me... The
Mrs. New Jersey
Pageant is June 7th
and I am very excited about it. Wish me luck! Remember to send in your local happenings to
be included in
upcoming issues.
We publish the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month so keep that in mind. Also we have opened
nominations
once again for
the next set of Lighthouse Awards. I plan to announce the latest winners on July 6th. This
means I need
nominees by June 30th.
So be on the lookout for noteworthy sites to nominate! Be sure to check out the latest
winners
on the Winners Page at www.lonekeep.com/jscib. You can nominate sites here as well.
Don't forget you can sponsor an issue too. Just go to www.lonekeep.com/jscib and click
on sponsor. Until
June 1st, don't forget to take care of yourself and your loved ones!

SPECIAL NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
by Karen E. Jarosz (Karen@lonekeep.com)
A special thank you goes out to reader, PAUL MILLER of Allenwood, who sent in pictures
of
local scenery! Be sure to check out his shore scenes at
http://www.lonekeep.com/lki_home/Usersubmit.htm. They are wonderful pictures!
I need your help and it could win you a $50 gift certificate to an area
restaurant!! The Bulletin needs a new banner ad to submit to Jersey Shore
Link Exchange so we can attract even more Jersey Shore readers. So if you
would like to participate, the ad needs to be 400x40 pixels and no more
then 8k in size. You can send it to me at jerseyshore@lonekeep.com and be sure to put
Banner in the subject. Please send it by May 25th and the winner will be
announced in the June 1st issue of the Bulletin. To see the current banner ad, go to the
bottom of www.lonekeep.com/jscib and then let your imagination take over!
Enjoy the great outdoors? Taking pictures of local scenery or happenings?
Like to get some recognition for your photography work? Why not send us some
photos to include in our Community Section! We'd love to have them and think
of how impressed your family and friends will be?! Just send the photos
