Quote of the Issue:
Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with
yourself.
Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections
but instantly set about remedying them - every day begin the task anew.
Saint Francis de Sales (1567 - 1622)

A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah, patience. As a younger person I was very impatient with life and myself. However, as I
have grown more mature (because I am not old....) I have learned to be patient. I try to
be especially patient with others and look at things from their perspective, to imagine
walking in their shoes so to speak. However, I am still working on being patient with
myself. I think most of us are impatient with ourselves because we set higher expectations
or standards and just expect things to happen. Yet what I have learned is that setting
high expectations is great but you have to understand that there is work involved too.
Yes, no one person is perfect and that is okay as long as you realize that truth and work
on it patiently.
Until August 3rd, be patient with others but more importantly be patient with yourself,
Karen

MIKE'S PET CENTER in Neptune has a new pet!
Mike has adopted a 6 year old female Kinkajou named Kaytie.
What is a Kinkajou? It is a mammal that is native to South Americas tropical forest
and is in the same family as the raccoon, but Kaytie originally came from a private
breeder in Kansas. Some interesting facts are they have a prehensile tail and they can
turn their feet backwards to run either way. She likes a lot of tropical fruits and they
also like honey and that is how they got a nickname "Honey Bear" but one of her
favorite treats is marshmallows. Kinkajous are nocturnal and are very sweat but shy
animals. They live to be about 25years old.
