Quote of the Issue:

America lives in the heart of every man everywhere who wishes to find a region
where he will be free to work out his destiny as he chooses.

                                                                                    Woodrow Wilson (1856 - 1924)

---------------------------------------------------------------------
A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I know it is early but Happy 4th of July! Having taught the American Revolution this year to my fifth graders, I have an even deeper appreciation for the day. It was amazing to have discussions about the founding fathers and what they were risking by writing that letter known as the Declaration of Independence. What was even more amazing was standing in the room of Independence Hall where it was signed and feeling the history of it all. I think we sometimes forget what those early Patriots were willing to risk. I wonder if they knew what an impact their actions would have on future generations? When you stop and think about all we are free to enjoy and do here in America it makes all the things we complain about insignificant. So when you are watching those fireworks in the next few evenings and listening to the patriotic music take a moment to remember those brave Patriots who were willing to give of their lives so that we could be blessed with life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness everyday...
Until July 6th, let freedom ring,
Karen

The "Smiths" are being placed in witness protection and the heads of the various "families" (audience members) are vying for Tony's position as head of the NJ Mob. They're put to the test in various contests: Pizza Tossing. Garroting Technique, etc. It's hilarious. Wait till you see Carmela!

From: mikespet@comcast.net
MIKE'S PET CENTER in Neptune has a new pet!
Mike has adopted a 6 year old female Kinkajou named Kaytie.
What is a Kinkajou? It is a mammal that is native to South Americas tropical  forest and is in the same family as the raccoon, but Kaytie originally came from a private breeder in Kansas. Some interesting facts are they have a prehensile tail and they can turn their feet backwards to run either way. She likes a lot of tropical fruits and they also like honey and that is how they got a nickname "Honey Bear" but one of her favorite treats is marshmallows. Kinkajous are nocturnal and are very sweat but shy animals. They live to be about 25years old.
