A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
---------------------------------------------------------------------
It's official! Happy Summer! So what are your plans for the summer? Do you have a trip
planned? Will you be hitting up the beach (if it stops raining?) Summer is such a
wonderful time to be outdoors. There's biking, walking, porch sitting and of course
cooking all to be done outdoors. There is the quiet of the beach at sunrise, the soft
sound of the waves on the beach in the heat of the day and of course the moon to gaze at
over the water at night. No wonder the living is easy in the summertime as the old song
goes. Be sure to make some time each week to enjoy this season and renew yourself by
heading outdoors and taking in the beauty of the surroundings.
Until June 29th, get outdoors and enjoy
Karen
PS - Starting June 1st we will be resuming our summer publishing schedule. That means
receiving the Bulletin EVERY Monday for June, July and August packed with Local events to
enjoy at the Shore!!

From: mikespet@comcast.net
MIKE'S PET CENTER in Neptune has a new pet!
Mike has adopted a 6 year old female Kinkajou named Kaytie.
What is a Kinkajou? It is a mammal that is native to South Americas tropical forest
and is in the same family as the raccoon, but Kaytie originally came from a private
breeder in Kansas. Some interesting facts are they have a prehensile tail and they can
turn their feet backwards to run either way. She likes a lot of tropical fruits and they
also like honey and that is how they got a nickname "Honey Bear" but one of her
favorite treats is marshmallows. Kinkajous are nocturnal and are very sweat but shy
animals. They live to be about 25years old.
