Quote of the Issue:
The goal of life is living in agreement with nature.

A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
---------------------------------------------------------------------
So how are your New Year's goals coming along? Seems like a distant memory doesn't it?
Well, I have to admit I did achieve some of mine and am still working on some. I have to
admit with the weather starting to get nicer some goals are easier than others. I think it
does have something to do with being in agreement with nature. With sunny warm days it is
more inviting to be outside and bike ride, find a spot to read, walk the boardwalk and be
away from mindless television. I also find I am more inclined to eat fresh fruit and
vegetables too. Yet I also find that the nature within me seems to change to with sunny
days. Now I don't believe in the seasonal affect disorder but I find on those beautiful
spring or summer days I feel lighter at heart and maybe a bit more optimistic. Nature in
all its aliveness or vibrancy seems to bring out the best in people myself included. Now if
I could just bottle that wonderful feeling up for those cold winter days...
Until June 15th, take time to be outdoors and maybe check in on those New Year's goals...
Karen

From: mikespet@comcast.net
MIKE'S PET CENTER in Neptune has a new pet!
Mike has adopted a 6 year old female Kinkajou named Kaytie.
What is a Kinkajou? It is a mammal that is native to South Americas tropical forest
and is in the same family as the raccoon, but Kaytie originally came from a private
breeder in Kansas. Some interesting facts are they have a prehensile tail and they can
turn their feet backwards to run either way. She likes a lot of tropical fruits and they
also like honey and that is how they got a nickname "Honey Bear" but one of her
favorite treats is marshmallows. Kinkajous are nocturnal and are very sweat but shy
animals. They live to be about 25years old.
