Quote of the Issue:

There is no need to go to India or anywhere else to find peace. You will find that deep place of silence right in your room, your garden or even your bathtub.

A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
---------------------------------------------------------------------
About this time each summer we start to get bombarded with Back to School sales. Folks start to make plans to cram in as much in the way of fun before the golden days of summer are gone and kids are finishing up camp. It can be a very hectic time of year. Yet, I always look forward to it. Why? Well for one thing the weather is glorious at this time of the summer. The flowers and trees are at their best and the ocean water is the warmest. It is in these next few weeks before the crazy start of another school year that I start to head to the beach in the early morning. One reason is to get back into the routine of getting up early but also because it is so very peaceful. The waves softly come to the shore, the sun shines gently and the birds are out not to mention there is a chance of a dolphin sighting! It is a wonderfully peaceful way to start the day. I take those moments and save them in my memory for those days when things are a bit hectic at school and I am unable to get to the peaceful beach. I hope you have a peaceful memory to help you on those crazy days, too. If not, take some time out to create one and you will be glad that you have it when you need it!
Until August 18th, take some time to get quiet and create a peaceful memory
Karen

Ahh, your morning coffee. Something to look forward to, the start of a new day. While it's important that the coffee be good, where you're having it is also important. On Saturday April 12th, it was my pleasure to have my morning cup at the grand opening of the Barbaric Bean on Main St. in Ocean Grove. The coffee was great, as was the food. But what I truly liked was the atmosphere. An excellent place to linger with friends and family or just read your favorite book. So make your way over to the Barbaric Bean. Even if the rest of your day isn't splendid, you'll know it started off just fine.
