A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Vanilla or chocolate, walk or bike, hamburger or hotdog. All of these involve choices we
make during the summertime. Think of all the choices you make on a daily basis. Some
require you to stop and think and others are split second decisions with little to no
thought. Yet, there are other choices that we mull over and seek advice for. It is amazing
to the amount and degree to which we make our choices. However, do we really knowingly
make our choices? Are we aware of the impact, consequences and reach that our choices can
have? Every decision we make is a chance to learn and to grow. So this week try to be more
aware of your choices, big and small, and see how you have grown...
Until July 21st, vanilla, bike and hamburger (with cheese)...
Karen
PS - Remember we are now publishing every Monday in June, July
and August! So if you have an event to include we need it by Friday at 12 noon to
be included in the following Monday's issue. Thanks!

From: THE MAN ABOUT TOWN (DAVID ZIMEL)
Ahh, your morning coffee. Something to look forward to, the start of a new day. While it's
important that the coffee be good, where you're having it is also important. On Saturday
April 12th, it was my pleasure to have my morning cup at the grand opening of the Barbaric
Bean on Main St. in Ocean Grove. The coffee was great, as was the food. But what I truly
liked was the atmosphere. An excellent place to linger with friends and family or just
read your favorite book. So make your way over to the Barbaric Bean. Even if the rest of
your day isn't splendid, you'll know it started off just fine.
