A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Well our first heat wave of the summer! Hope everyone is staying cool. I try to remind myself when it gets this hot that it should make me appreciate thing like air conditioning, porch sitting and cold water. I also try to recall the cold winter days when I was longing for summer... Hopefully we won't have to many hot humid days like these past few so we can enjoy the best of the shore this summer. However, in the the meantime stay cool, drink plenty of water and think of those cold winter days....
Until June 16th, stay cool and don't forget Flag Day is Saturday June 14th,
Karen
PS - Remember we are now publishing every Monday in June, July and August! So if you have an event to include we need it by Friday at 12 noon to be included in the following Monday's issue. Thanks!

From:  THE MAN ABOUT TOWN (DAVID ZIMEL)
Ahh, your morning coffee. Something to look forward to, the start of a new day. While it's important that the coffee be good, where you're having it is also important. On Saturday April 12th, it was my pleasure to have my morning cup at the grand opening of the Barbaric Bean on Main St. in Ocean Grove. The coffee was great, as was the food. But what I truly liked was the atmosphere. An excellent place to linger with friends and family or just read your favorite book. So make your way over to the Barbaric Bean. Even if the rest of your day isn't splendid, you'll know it started off just fine.
