A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah, June! Time for graduations, weddings, and summer vacations! We at JSCIB start our
summer schedule by publishing every Monday. Yet, June also brings with it Flag Day on June
14th and the anniversary of D-Day on June 6th (hence the Quote of the Issue). Thanks to
those brave soldiers who launched the largest invasion the world had ever seen before 1944
we can celebrate graduations, weddings and summer vacation! So proudly display your
American flag on June 14th (or everyday) and remember those who gave the ultimate on D-Day
so we could enjoy the pleasures of summer!
Until June 9th, enjoy the start of what I hope for all will be a wonderful summer,
Karen
PS - Remember we are now publishing every Monday in June, July
and August! So if you have an event to include we need it by Friday at 12 noon to
be included in the following Monday's issue. Thanks!

From: THE MAN ABOUT TOWN (DAVID ZIMEL)
Ahh, your morning coffee. Something to look forward to, the start of a new day. While it's
important that the coffee be good, where you're having it is also important. On Saturday
April 12th, it was my pleasure to have my morning cup at the grand opening of the Barbaric
Bean on Main St. in Ocean Grove. The coffee was great, as was the food. But what I truly
liked was the atmosphere. An excellent place to linger with friends and family or just
read your favorite book. So make your way over to the Barbaric Bean. Even if the rest of
your day isn't splendid, you'll know it started off just fine.
