Quote of the Issue:

First keep the peace within yourself, then you can also bring peace to others.                                                                                            Thomas a Kempis (1380 - 1471)

A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
---------------------------------------------------------------------

What is peace? Is it absence of war or disagreement? Is it complete contentment? Personally I have to agree with the Quote of the Issue. If you feel at peace than you radiate (yes, I wrote radiate) peace and those around you sense it, feel it and are drawn to you because of it. Than, I believe, people at peace can accomplish more and can assist those around them to accomplish more as well. Let's face it when you are at odds or in conflict whether it be with yourself or others you are unable to focus and get very little done. However, when you are at peace you can achieve much more and can inspire those around you to do the same. Look at some of the great role models of our time such as Martin Luther King, Jr., Mother Teresa, Gandi, Dalai Lama and Pope John Paul II. All of them were instruments of peace as well as positive change. They also, in my opinion, radiated peace. I hope that you will give some thought to how you can bring about peace in yourself, your life around you and by doing so possibly the world at large....

Until February 4th, give peace a chance....
Karen
