Happy Constitution Day!! How fortunate we are to live in a place such as America where we have freedoms and rights that are protected and protect us. It is hard to imagine life without these precious rights and freedoms. We are free to work, pray and play in the fashion that suits us. We should remember to never take this for granted. If you have some free time be sure to play and maybe take in a Local Happening. It seems at this lovely time of the year there are so many choices! I plan to schedule some free time to take in a few happenings.

October 7 - The Bradley Beach Chamber is sponsoring the 2nd Annual Jersey Shore Chef's Classic at the Ascension Center, 500 Fifth Avenue in Bradley Beach from 5:30 to 8:30 P.M. A portion of the proceeds are being donated to the Friends of the Library of Bradley Beach, and the balance will benefit the operations of the chamber. The participating restaurants thus far are (alphabetically) Back in Time Cafe, Del Ponte's Beaches Bakery, Ferraro's Famous Tomato Pies, Fins, Jada on Main, Osaka at Bradley Beach and Piancone's Deli & Bakery. There will be three wine companies who will be providing wine for sampling. The tickets are $30.00 in advance and $35.00 at the door. Last years attendance was approximately 175 and they are hoping for 200-225 this year.
