Quote of the Issue:

You need only reflect that one of the best ways to get yourself a reputation as a dangerous citizen these days is to go about repeating the very phrases which our founding fathers used in the struggle for independence.
                                                  Charles Austin Beard (1874 - 1948)

A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Happy Constitution Day!! How fortunate we are to live in a place such as America where we have freedoms and rights that are protected and protect us. It is hard to imagine life without these precious rights and freedoms. We are free to work, pray and play in the fashion that suits us. We should remember to never take this for granted. If you have some free time be sure to play and maybe take in a Local Happening. It seems at this lovely time of the year there are so many choices! I plan to schedule some free time to take in a few happenings.

Until October 1st, enjoy the freedom to do the things you love,
Karen

The Penn-Jersey Region uses a real-time, five-day inventory, meaning that blood is collected and distributed continuously. However, their inventory often fails to maintain less than one day's worth of Type-O blood, which is crucial in emergency room treatment. While continuing to supply blood and blood products to the five Philadelphia counties and all of New Jersey, the Penn-Jersey Region is the main supplier to 86 hospitals and 40 additional hospitals on an as-needed basis. Blood drives are held every Wednesday at the Tinton Falls Donor Facility, 1540 West Park Avenue. I am proud to let you know that I will once again be walking in the America's Walk for Diabetes fund-raising event to benefit the American Diabetes Association.

As always, I am taking part in this event because I believe in and support the Association's mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. I am truly hopeful that, with your continued generous support, future generations will not have to suffer the same fate as my father or the millions of others affected. Please consider helping me in this mission!

You can help in 1 of either 2 ways: 1) By supporting my fund-raising efforts with a generous contribution or 2) Join me for the Walk! (Sat, Oct 13th @ Soldier Field)
