Quote of the Issue:

When you play, play hard; when you work, don't play at all.                                                               Theodore Roosevelt (1858 - 1919)

A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
---------------------------------------------------------------------

So have you been working hard or playing hard lately? Seems the older I get the more I look forward to playing because I do my best to work hard. I just returned from back to back long weekends away and I feel like I need a vacation! I think it is because I enjoy vacation as much as I enjoy working so I play full out. Now I plan on doing things around the house, reading some of those books I have piled up and taking in some Local Happenings! I want to enjoy these dog days of summer before they are gone... Hope you'll do the same!

Until the August 13th, work and play hard,
Karen

Note from the Editor: If you have an event that you would like included email me the particulars (when, where, what, who is hosting, time, cost and contact number/person) If you email a press release, it will not be looked at due to time and space constraints!!

SUMMER BOOK PICKS
compiled by Karen E. Jarosz
------------------------------------------------------------------------

So this is our first try at a summer reading list for adults if you will. I am excited because I love to read good books that stimulate my brain and to hear about books that I really shouldn't miss! I hope you, the readers, will enjoy this addition to the Bulletin and will feel free to participate and share!! I will start us off with a book I read this time last year that I can not forget.

Steven Sears picks (SGS@SGSWrite.com):
Perhaps I'm in the minority, but if I'm down the (Jersey) shore, I want to read a book about New Jersey. Two of my favorites are Mark DiIonno's Coastal Heritage Trail and Robert Santelli's Guide to the Jersey Shore. These books are about NJ, and especially the shore area, may be no better than these two.

(Publisher's Note: Hope you readers submit your favorite books!)

The Penn-Jersey Region uses a real-time, five-day inventory, meaning that blood is collected and distributed continuously. However, their inventory often fails to maintain less than one day's worth of Type-O blood, which is crucial in emergency room treatment. While continuing to supply blood and blood products to the five Philadelphia counties and all of New Jersey, the Penn-Jersey Region is the main supplier to 86 hospitals and 40 additional hospitals on an as-needed basis. Blood drives are held every Wednesday at the Tinton Falls Donor Facility, 1540 West Park Avenue.
