A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz ( Karen@lonekeep.com )
-----------------------------------------------------------
Hello! I hope everyone had a joyous holiday. I'd like to thank our sponsor for this issue,
Monmouth-
Ocean Networking Council or MONC as they are known. This group is wonderful if you are
looking to
network and spread the word about your business... Well, by now I am sure you have made
your
resolutions (and maybe even broken them). Well, don't be hard on yourself, maybe it is
your approach...
What I mean is instead of making a resolution why not set a few goals? What I like to do
(and I received
this idea from a Sandler Sales Class) is I take some oak tag and some magazines. I then go
through and cut
out pictures that represent goals I would like to reach for the year. For example, I cut
out a picture of fruit
because I wish to include it more in my diet... I then glue all my pictures onto the
oaktag in any fashion I
like. It is fun and takes me back to being a kid again. I then use those refrigarator
magnets to hold my goals
board on the fridge so that each morning when I sit down for breakfast or open the door
each time I am
subconsciously reminding myself of my goals... Now the first time I tried this four years
ago I was doubtful.
However, when I got toward the end of the year, I was amazed at just how many goals I
truly had reached!
The neat thing was I did not have to go out of my way or make a big deal about reaching my
goals. I did so
a little each day...This past month I did my goal board for the fourth time and I have put
some small goals
and some major ones but I know that I can reach them if I see them every day. This is also
a fun activity for
young children as well as teens. Give it a try and see what dreams you can make come true.
Afterall, what
do you have to lose? Thanks again to all those who send in submissions and positive
comments. Thanks
also to all those who have sponsored over the last few months. Remember, you can sponsor
an issue very
easily by going to www.lonekeep.com/jscib and clicking on sponsor. Hope all of you stay
healthy and have
a peaceful New Year. See you on the 19th. Regards, Karen
