A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz ( Karen@lonekeep.com )
-----------------------------------------------------------
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and I wish you all peace and happiness in the upcoming weeks of
the Holiday Season. As you can see we have a record number of sponsors and I thank all of them for their
sponsorship. If you are looking for some beautiful and unique gifts be sure to check out our sponsors! As I
gathered the information for this isssue I was pleasantly surprised at just how much there is to do for the
Holiday Season right in our area. I plan to check out some of the Local Happenings to help put me more in
the Holiday Spirit. I hope you all will take some time to join in some of the Local Happenings as well with
family and friends. That way you get to spend time together with the ones you care about, you share some
Holiday Cheer and you support the Local towns and businesses as well... Let's not forget what the season is
really all about... I hope you will enjoy the events I have listed. Don't forget to send in your submissions
because I want to be able to offer plenty to do in the Shore since there is so much to enjoy! Keep those
submissions coming... Just remember, the newsletter goes out the 1st and 3rd of each month, so I need the
submissions the Friday BEFORE so I can include it... Don't forget if you want to sponsor an issue you can
do so by going to www.lonekeep.com/jscib and clicking on sponsorsing. Future issues are filling up
quickly... Again, enjoy this Holiday season and take time to be with the ones who matter to you the most....
Until the 15th, take care and be well... Karen

SPECIAL NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
by Karen E. Jarosz ( Karen@lonekeep.com )

Once again the choices were tough and the nominees were ALL noteworthy but I am pleased to announce
our second set of Lighthouse Award Winners! In the category of Personal Site the winner was Holly's
Kitchen at www.iop.com/~jam/kitchen.html. This site offers great, easy and fun recipes even for your dog!
Try it and see... For the category of Community Information the winner is: Wolf Hill Elementary's Miss
Warwick's Class. This is a local 4th grade class that maintains this site and a FINE job they do! I was very
impressed by the detail and interesting content they put on the site! Finally, in the category of
Business/Commercial the winner is: LampLink, Inc. of Atlantic Highlands. They offer some of the most
beautiful and unique lamps I've ever seen. The online category makes shopping easy and they also have a
unifque way of interacting with the user. It is a very helpful site. All the the sites nominated are to be
congratulated for creating sites that are positive and of use to the local community. We will be holding the
Lighthouse Award Contest again and announcing winners on April 1st. So if you know of a local site that
is noteworthy, positive and is of benefit in some way to the local community then be sure nominate it by
going to www.lonekeep.com/jscib and clicking on nominations. We'd love to hear of sites that others can
benefit and promote them in a positive way... Who knows maybe it'll win an Lighthouse Award?!
