LOCAL HAPPENINGS AND EVENTS

November 18 - The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce is having it's 2nd Annual Networking Party. It will be from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Our House Tavern. It is $5 per person for admission and hot/cold hors d'ouevers will be provided as well as a cash bar. Bring plenty of business cards...

November 20 - FOR LONE KEEP CUSTOMERS AND SOUTHERN MONMOUTH CHAMBER MEMBERS: Lone Keep Internet will have its monthly FREE Internet Training session at 7:30 pm at the Chamber office on Hwy. 35 in Wall. This is an opportunity to receive some assistance in understanding the Internet. For more information call 988-4044

November 22 - The Fifteenth Annual Manasquan Turkey Trot will take place, rain or shine, starting at 8:30 am. The entry fee is $18. Everyone is entered to win a prize turkey as well as other assorted prizes...For an entry form and more information call 223-9738

November 23 - The Monmouth County SPCA is holding Santa Paws at the Shelter at 260 Wall Street in Eatontown. Pets only can be photographed with Santa from 10 am to 6 pm. Dogs must be on leashes and cats need to be in carriers. The donation is $8 per photo. For more information call 542-0040.

November 23 - Allaire Village presents A 19th Century Thanksgiving. It is FREE and runs from 1 to 4 pm at the Village. For a peek at what it was like to celebrate Thanksgiving in the 1800's and learn where some of the tradition comes from be sure to attend this event. Call 938-2253 for more information.

November 28 - Join in the excitement as Red Bank welcomes the Holiday Season with a Tree Lighting and the Arrival of Santa on the corner of Broad and Monouth Streets at 6:45 pm. There will be music, dancers and good cheer as Red Bank gets ready to bring in the Holiday Season in a special way...

November 28 - Come out and watch the rising of the three foot ball of Mistletoe on the intersection of Broad and Monmouth Streets. Bring a sweetheart or loved one to kiss under the mistletoe...

November 29 - Starting tonight and running every Saturday evening until Dec. 20 you can join Red Bank in the annual tradition of strolling from store to store and enjoying refreshments, shopping and holiday song.

November 29 - Starting today and running every Saturday and Sunday to Dec. 20 you can enjoy a Horse Drawn Wagon ride through festive Downtown Red Bank. The rides run from 12 noon to 5 pm from Murphy's Grill

November 30 - Bradley Beach will have its Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 pm. It will be held at the newly renovated Railroad Square. There will be carols, fun and a visit from Mr. & Mrs. Santa. Then the festivities will move to the Senior Center for Hot Cocoa and cup cakes... Check out the web site listed below for more information
