A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thursday was just an ordinary day except I was going to donate blood. Giving blood twice a year is something I do to help out and feel I have done my part. It only hurts a bit but in the long run can save a life. Anyway, I have been donating at the First Interstate Financial blood drive for last few years and they are great people there. ANYHOW, they do drawings for great prizes like gift certificates, goodies and the grand prize is a mountain bike. Well by now you might have guessed who won the mountain bike?! Yes it was yours truly! I was so very surprised and excited! I rarely win things like that and it seemed so easy in exchange for something so precious. So now I need to plan on attending some Local Events to ride my new bike to. Thanks again to Roger, Bill, Joanna and all the great folks at First Interstate Financial for sponsoring the blood drive. You can still donate at the Central Jersey Blood Center located at 494 Sycamore Ave in Shrewsbury. Why not make it something you do before the summer is over? This is a critical time for blood supply.... Give a call to (732) 842-5750. They have something like a day's supply ready!!!
Until next Monday, try something new today!!
Karen

PS- Remember we are always looking for local businesses/organizations to sponsor issues. It is a great way to reach local folks in Monmouth and Ocean counties to let them know what you do! Give a call to 732-988-4044
