A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah, home here at the Shore during the summer. I don't know about you but I sure do love it. The sunny weather, the ocean breeze, the porch to sit on and read or catch up with a friend. There is nothing quite like summer at the shore. If you are itching to do something there is plenty to do right here in the area! Enjoy a concert, go to flea market, join in a book discussion or see a show. Take you pick. Bring along someone special and make it twice as fun.
As always, let me know of any upcoming events and let me know if having th Bulletin every week in
the summer has been helpful. Thanks!
Karen

SPECIAL NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
by Karen E. Jarosz
Whether you agree with the President or with what's going on in Iraq, it doesn't matter.... There are men and women there giving their all in the name of freedom and they need our support and encouragement. If you are looking to lend you support here's a great way to do so. Read on....

Brielle Brownie Troop 1740 is hoping you can help us get the word out via your wonderful newsletter about our sponsorship of 101 troops in Iraq. You may have seen the cards we put at TaeKwonDo. We are seeking items to fill our boxes. We have 100 men and 1 woman that we ship boxes to and need items! All information is located: http://www.sandscripts.com/troops.html   - please send us any goods you would like to donate. We will lovingly package and send them to the platoon stationed in Iraq that we are helping to sponsor. If you can not supply any goods, monetary donations are greatly appreciated and will be used to purchase specific items on our platoon's wish list. Our packages reach very special men and women so please be generous in helping us help our American Soldiers.
Our Soldiers far away from home need:pens, pads, toiletries, sunglasses, sunscreen, skin protectants, lotion, snack items (non-chocolate), baby wipes (which to some soldiers is their only means of a daily "shower"), towels, playing cards, novelties, tan t-shirts, pillows, small sporting goods like balls, flying discs, inflatables, head/wristbands, powdered drink mix, energy bars, phone cards, stress relievers, cooling products, batteries, games, small electronics, travel kits, even personal letters and much, much more!  Any help at all is greatly appreciated with our most important Service Project! Please put a box together and ship it or drop it off to us today! Lauren is the contact person for Brielle Brownie Troop 1740 and Suzanne the contact person for Sand Scripts 732.528.1079
