A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Happy Flag Day! Be sure to display your Stars and Stripes proudly today and always... Hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weekend. I got the chance to be a kid again this weekend by spending Saturday afternoon with my two young nieces, ages 4 and 8. We drew on the driveway with chalk, rode scooters, played on the swings and had ice cream sundaes for dessert! When it got dark we looked for fireflies to catch.
It was one of the best Saturdays I have had in a while and made me long to be a kid again getting ready for summer vacation... But, as a grown up there are plenty of chances to have big kid fun right in the area. Check out some local happenings and bring along a friend to enjoy the day with! Be sure to finish the day with ice cream, too.
Until next Monday, set free the kid in yourself this week...
Karen
