April 5, 2004----------
Email Newsletter hits 10,000 subscribers
Jersey Shore Area, NJ, April 5, 2004 - The Jersey Shore Community Information
Bulletin, an email newsletter circulated in Monmouth and Ocean counties, is proud to
announce they have added their 10,000th subscriber. The JSCIB, as readers
affectionately know it, has been in publication since August of 1996. The newsletter,
published by Lone Keep Internet, Inc. of Bradley Beach, has evolved greatly since its
inception. At the start readers received the newsletter only once a month and the
subscription base consisted of about 500 clients and friends. According to Editor Karen
Jarosz, the purpose of the Bulletin was and still remains the same today: to let people
know about fun events in Monmouth and Ocean counties that are held by local businesses or
organizations.
As word spread the Bulletin picked up subscribers and readers were emailing information
for upcoming events in the area to be included. Readers were also emailing to let the
staff at the Bulletin know that they were attending and enjoying the events. The readers
were also expressing an interest in receiving the newsletter more often in a month. It was
finally decided that the Bulletin would be published twice a month on the first and third
Monday of each month.
With the increase in publication frequency came the increase in subscribers. Readers
were forwarding the newsletter to friends, family and business associates. Information for
events was coming in more often and the newsletter was being recognized by its name in the
area. Clients were now asking could they advertise in the newsletter as a way to reach
local people. So the Bulletin began offering sponsorship spots in the bi-monthly
newsletter and even more subscribers were signing up to receive the newsletter.
As we move into the 8th year of publication, the Jersey Shore Community
Information Bulletin still holds true to its original purpose: to share with people in
the Monmouth and Ocean county area what fun events are being held by businesses and
organizations. We still publish twice a month but have just recently decided due to
requests from readers to publish weekly in the summer months of June, July and August when
there is so much to do in the Jersey Shore area! We still take sponsors and have seen a
real growing trend in repeat sponsors because they have seen results from the sponsor ads.
All of this has led to gaining our 10,000 subscribers! We are so very excited and
proud. We thank all our past and present readers for helping us to reach this milestone!
Our hope is to continue bringing this service to even more people in the area. If you are
not a subscriber be sure to sign up at www.lonekeep.com/jscib
and subscribe today. It is free to subscribe and youll be part of whats
happening in the area! For information on how to sponsor your business in upcoming issues
