Quote of the Issue:
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest
critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best
in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or
a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have
lived. This is to have succeeded.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson, writer and philosopher (1803-1882)

A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello all! The Quote of the Issue is one of my favorite. I feel that at this time of the
year with school opening in just two weeks I llike to remind myself what it really means
to be a teacher. It is hard to believe that in two weeks it will be Labor Day and then the
summer will fade away. Hopefully between now and then you will take time to enjoy the
pleasures of the Shore in late summer. Take a mini vacation if only for one day. Take
along someone special and create a tradition or a memory. Rich and I have been trying to
take day trips this summer and have found that there is so much to choose from. So pick
something and just go...Please feel free to email me and let me know if you particularly
enjoyed something and do not forget to check out our sponsors especially Udderly Delicious
for those yummy burgers. There is a reason they are called Utterly Delicious - because
they ARE!
Until September 1st, go out and enjoy!
