Thanks to all of our sponsors! Wow! Finally a little bit of much needed rain! Now maybe my lawn won't look so brown... Can you believe that Memorial Day is upon us?! Time for the beach, hotdogs, walks on the boardwalk and ice cream, too! I hope that this upcoming summer will be a happy, relaxing and not to hot one for everyone. May 26 - Go out to the races and join in the fun of Monmouth Park Racetrack Opening Day. Gates open 11:30 am and the first race is at 1:10 pm. It is located at Exit 105 on the Garden State Parkway in Oceanport. Call 222-5100 or go to www.monmouthpark.com 

May 26 - Enjoy Art in the Park, presented by the Long Branch Historical Association. There will be a judged art show and sale at the West End Park at Brighton and Ocean Aves. It will be from 11 am to 8 pm

May 31 - Kruise Nite will be from 6 pm to 10 pm in Downtown Freehold. All they ask that you bring food donations for the local food pantry to be collected throughout town. For details call Jayne Carr at 462-3584

June 1 to 3 - Enjoy the 10th Annual Riverfest. There will be food & a Music Festival, fine crafts, children's activities and river cruises. The event runs from: Fri. 5 pm to 10 pm, Sat. 11 am to 10 pm, Sun. 11 am to 6 pm and will be based at Marine Park, Wharf Ave. in Red Bank. Call 888- 438-FEST

June 9/10 - The New Jersey Seafood Festival enters its 14th year of providing the best of Jersey Shore Seafood with all the trimmings! You can enjoy a full day of entertainment, children's events, exhibits, arts and crafts, music, and demonstrations. The Festival is held on beautiful Silver Lake at the oceanfront between 5th & 6th Avenues from 11AM to 6PM. Admission is free. Come and enjoy fresh seafood specialties at Belmar's oceanfront. Monthly breast cancer survivors group designed to tap the power of the group
