Quote of the Issue:

When you have exhausted all possibilities, remember this: you haven't.
     Thomas Edison (1847-1931); inventor, businessman

----------------------------------------------------------------
A WORD OR TWO FROM ME
by Karen E. Jarosz
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Did you know that it took Edison 10,000 tries before he met with success in creating the working light bulb? He chose to call them tries rather than attempts or failures. Can you imagine trying to do something 10,000 times? Not only that but Edison was close to being broke and his help was working for free because they were loyal and believed in what he was  doing. Guess you could say it is a good thing Edison and his associates stuck to it otherwise I would be typing this in the dark!!!
I know myself that there have been times in life when I was pretty much ready to walk away from some things and yet I gave it one more try and met with success. Why do we stick it out and keep going? Is it because of faith? Is it a sense or need to accomplish something worthwhile to us? or is it that sense of purpose that comes from within? Whatever it is that drives us to keep going in the face of challenge, I say keep going!! You will achieve your goal if you believe in it! Just remember to keep looking up and looking at all the possibilities, even the absurd ones. Just look at Edison!!
Until August 15th, remember all things are possible, if you believe
Karen

Kiva is an organization that makes loans to people in "underpriviledged" areas throughout the world (including the US). Applicants ask for a loan amount, then loans are then backed by lenders like you and me, in minimum $25 increments. This helps increase their ability to raise their standard of living. Check out www.Kiva.org for more info. I like that it's a helping hand, rather than a hand-out.
